If you’re reading this I can almost guarantee you owned & loved this show on VHS as a kid. Approx. 1 hour highlight reel of other Skyfire productions, with new wrap-arounds and some short new segments on Western Maryland 734, UP 3985, etc. Includes aerial footage & shots mounted to the engine, which was all pretty novel back before everyone had drones & GoPros. They’re clearly targeting a general interest audience with the editing & narration… maybe a little pretentious, but endearingly so. I was glad to see this again for nostalgia’s sake; your mileage may vary.

Some of the footage were included in the previous video tapes from the past; Nevada Northern’s Ghost Train, SP’s 4449 Daylight Express, Southern Pacific 2472 and Steaming Up the New River Gorge trips. I used to have it on VCR days. Overall, Jim Mitchell did pretty decent.

In this 60 minute program from 1995, there are a great variety of steam locomotives in North America. Which includes Virginia & Truckee 2-8-0 number 29, Lake Superior & Ishpeming 2-8-0 734 at the Western Maryland scenic railroad with since been sold Alco diesels, Southern pacific 2472, Union Pacific challenger 3985, Milwaukee road 261, Nickel plate road 765 as Chesapeake & Ohio 2765 in 1993, Canadian pacific 3716 on BC rail, Nevada northern 40 in 1988, SP daylight 4449 in 1991, & more. Overall, Jim Mitchell did an incredible job narrating this recently turned 25 year old 60 minute program.
