Europeans take their heritage steam seriously! This event is in Poland and is called the Wolsztyn Experience – and what an experience it is! Each year they have a “Parade of Steam”. This footage was taken in 2013. You might want to turn your volume down a little bit. 🙂
If you can not get to Poland for the Wolsztyn Experience, you can bring Poland to you. This DVD (Click the picture to go right to it) has the last steam-hauled passenger trains in regular service in Europe. They are run out of the steam center at Wolsztyn, Poland. Join us for a Plandampf, a special steam event, organized by The Wolsztyn Experience. We’ll see three types of engines, O149-7, Pt47-65 and Tr5-65 on regular service trains to Poznan and on specials and a freight, all hard at work. Available in DVD or Blu-ray, this program is 75 minutes of big steam!
