Spend Sunday afternoon at the main station in Zurich, Switzerland, with 64 trains in one hour, including French and Italian trains. Then we head down to the Gotthard Line for a look at both passenger and freight trains. Amazing action, and everything runs on time!

The trains run like clockwork (a finely crafted Swiss watch?) and the sheer volume of movements is staggering! European railroading has a distinctly different flavor from what you’ll find in North America, but everything about this program … the colors, the locomotives, the freight and passenger cars, the setting, the operations … was fascinating. I was hesitant to purchase a video about “international” railroading, but bought this program after a trip to Switzerland. Good decision! It’s a great addition to any collection.

Interesting. Railroading that looks a tad different from North American railroading. Colourful little trains from 4 countries. Passenger, commuter, and freight service all working to put on a good show. If you are interested in international railroading…. this one is an excellent production to own.

If you like the Zurich international airport film you will like this film. See all kibds of trains in vivid color-at least 60-65 of them per hour. See trains from France and Italy as well. Then go down to Gotthand to see more passenger and freight trains. Lots of in your face action. 5 Stars.

Lots of action at a variety of locations, not just in Zurich. Both freight and passenger movements along with station stops. English narration with a good production. Enjoyed thoroughly. Fairly modern equipment as can be seen today even.
