This is the PRR in its namesake state from 1952 to 1967. Mainline and branch line steam and diesel action on the Middle division, the Buffalo Line, the Shamokin and Schuylkill Valley coal branches, and more. The stage is set for a parade of I1s, J1s, M1s, GPs, U25B and U30Cs, GP30s,and GP35s, and Covered Wagons galore!

F3s, F7s, FP7s, E7s, E8s, PAs, FAs, C-Liners, Erie-builts, Sharks and Centipedes are all here, along with rare shots of BLW center cab RT624 transfer units. And for freight car fans many scenes feature the rolling stock behind the locomotives. Locations visited include Johnstown, South Fork, Horseshoe Curve, Altoona, Duncannon, Newport, Denholm, Rockville Bridge, Enola and Renovo. Passenger trains seen run the gamut from classic streamliners to mail trains and doodlebugs.

  1. rickyfreni

Originally released on both VHS & DVD in 2005, the second volume of the series captures more steam, diesel, & electric action in the Keystone State from the films of Mr. Bruce Kanter, Mr. Chuck Bealer, Mr. Chuck Houser Sr, & Mr. Steve Bonscher.

Other Road Names in addition to the Pennsy include Reading, New York Central, & Bethlehem Steel. Plus, a Trolley.

Locations in volume 2 contains Shamrock west of Paxinos, Shamokin, Excelsior, Pottsville, Darkwater, Catawissa, Renovo, Hyner, Jersey Shore (not the MTV reality show), Colton State Park, Blackwell, McElhatten, Northumberland, Dalmatia, Millersburg, Clark’s Ferry, Harrisburg, Enola Yard, Rockville Viaduct, Perdix, Duncannon, Bailey, Newport, Denholm, Alto Tower, the hotspot of Horseshoe Curve in Altoona, High Bridge, Johnstown, & ends at Pittsburgh.

While many of these films were recorded Silent, dubbed audio was added just like volume 1, & while a bunch of scenes are in Black & White, the majority is in color.

A mention of the Vignettes of the Penn Central was heard.

You just have to appreciate the Pennsy! They had almost every brand and model of diesel ever made and most are here. Some steam but not a lot and the I1a Decapods as well as the M1’s never cease to thrill me watching them roll. Great coverage of so many famous or popular PRR locations. Good sound and action. The color isn’t all that great which I find with Clear Block sometimes but it’s ALL THERE to see, hear and enjoy.

Bought this one after seeing the first one, very well made. As always I love Clear Block as his videos are put together nicely. Clear Block really did their research on these productions. Its a shame there were not more Clear Block videos.
