Part travelogue, part railfan video and stunning from start to finish! As with Highball’s other “Adventure” videos, “Tracks Of The Beaver” focuses on the setting as well as the trains; the setting is spectacular, and you’ll see it through the eyes of an artist. Scenery, wildlife, knowledgeable narration, music that enhances the production … and plenty of trains. This program will do something that not every video can do: it will leave both die-hard railfans and non-fans saying “Let’s watch it again!” On a scale of one-to-five, give this one a ten!

A good video, but it sometimes feels like a wildlife documentary. Nonetheless, beautiful scenery and great engineering feats.

I have this as part of the Canada by Rail box set. It’s another great video of spectacular scenery. The rockies are fantastic, this is a great way to visit without annoying your wife with constant stops!

Here is a most interesting video of the Canadian Pacific Railway line in western Alberta/eastern British Columbia Canada. Like the other Rail Adventure videos, this is not your average railroad video. Designed with the tourist in mind, we are taken on a site seeing adventure of the region. There is plenty of water falls, white water with rafters; glaciers and the mountain peaks; wild life including birds, elk, chipmunks, black bears etc… The scenery is amoung the most beautiful in all of North America. For the railfan, there are lots of trains. The Royal Canadian Pacific, the Rocky Mountainair, and lots of long freight trains. Seen from various angles and locations, including cab rides. Very little is left out. See the exciting Spiral Tunnels with long trains passing over themselves. And then there is the MacDonald Tunnel. So much more along the way. The video has plenty of music through out, but what was really impressive was the narration. The narrator has done his homework. There are explanations of the power and trains, the geographical region, and the history of the region. This is a very imformative video. No questios, diffinantly one of the finest videos of the region by anyone and one of the best videos by Highball Productions. Top marks for this production. Recommended for all to purchase.
