Our program shows action scenes of the last operating B-29, Fifi, during 2013 flights. First we see it at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio, making one flight on friday, and two on Saturday. Scenes include close-ups of the aircraft before the flight, engine starts, taxi, take-offs, fly overs, and landings. Several passes over the field were made during these flights to give us a nice view of the largest bomber of World War Two. We will also hear some of the history of the aircraft, including a nice piece of old Black and White films showing a B-29 in China during 1943 where these aircraft began their missions to Japan. This vintage film footage shows the aircraft and crew plus explains some of the important aspects of the B-29.

The final segment of the show is a flight inside Fifi, right behind the pilot, across from the flight engineer. This affords a great view of the engine start-ups by the flight engineer, and you see the co- pilot and other crew member positions in the forward section of the B-29. This footage takes us out over water along the Pacific Coast in California. It’s a great way to experience this rare and large World War Two bomber in action.

Here’s quite a variety of action from footage shot over several years:

    1. B-29 “Fifi” at Lunken Airport with C-45 Bucket of Bolts & P-51 Mustang 9DJ on Friday June 28th 2013.

    2. B-29 “Fifi” making 2 flights at Lunken Airport the following Saturday with B-25J “Axis Nightmare” on Display and 9DJ up in the sky.

And 3. A Ride on “Fifi” in Southern California in 2013 showing how many people can operate this piece of American History.

Sometimes at scenes where the sound is far away to hear, music is added at some points of the program.

Another great air title from Greg is “World War Two Aircraft Today”.

Between the flight segments, a Black & White Sound Film called B-29s in China by Army Airforce Digest in 1944 is included as well.

Like old WWII aircraft, then you will like this Dvd. This is the only operational-flying B-29 flying today. The producers of this film did a great job on this one. The close-ups are great, the engine start up is awesome and the sound of those engines can’t be beat. Great history is given @ the aircraft. The black & white segment shows great footage of the aircraft in China during 1943, where they start their mission to Japan. Great views from the cockpit especially along the Pacific coast if California. 5stars for this Dvd & great for those B-29 lovers.
