Enjoy great action on the Santa Fe Railway system – this DVD features a variety of trains hauling freight in a variety of places! This video was shot over several years, and includes action on Cajon Pass, and Tehachapi loop, plus some additional shots along the transcontinental mainline in Arizona and New Mexico. Shot primarily between 1989 and 1992 there is a wealth of interesting trains and rugged western scenery to enjoy, all before the BNSF merger took place. Some footage shot in 1995. Part of the GSVP “Pictorial” series. Tehachapi is interesting as we see old units, then in more recent times new wide-cab units in their first tour of duty. You’ll see Tehachapi loop with several trains in the region and a variety of trains and paint-schemes. One neat shot shows a 10-unit freight descending the loop at Caliente with a flock of sheep in the foreground competing to make the most noise. Oh, and there is a caboose or two in there as well. The new GM and GE wide cabs are evident as well as older F45 units. We see some neat shots at the remote Canyon Diablo bridge, east of Flagstaff, including a brand new SD75 on a westbound. There are also scenes near Crozier, east of Seligman, and near Kingman.

GOOD AND INFORMATIVE DVD ABOUT THE SANTA FE RAILROAD. SHOT OVER SEVERAL YEARS, INCLUDING ACTION AROUND THE CAJON PASS AND OTHER LOCATIONS. THIS FILM WAS MADE BETWEEN 1982 AND 1992 WITH LOTS OF INTERESTING TRAINS AND LOTS OF RUGGED SCENERY. SEE SHOTS OF THE CANYON DIABLO BRIDGE EAST OF FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA, CROZIER EAST OF SELIGMAN AND NEAR KINGMAN. GREAT FILM WITH GOOD SCENERY AND INFORMATION. 4 STARS AND 80 MINUTES LONG.

While There Are mostly JVC era footages of The AT&SF Freights Decending on who can make the most noise between the freights & the Caliente Sheep Farm, Steam Engine 3751 also appears during 1992.
