The Soo is then seen working across Wisconsin and along the picturesque Mississippi River to the Twin Cities. This is a former mainline of the Milwaukee Road. From Minneapolis to St. Paul you’ll see various trains, yards and towns as the Soo Line travels across Minnesota and North Dakota to a connection with CP Rail at Portal.<br.
The action includes yard switching, locals, mainline freights and a diesel and caboose pace scene. See 15 different models of Soo EMD diesel power with everything from a GP7 to the big SD60M! Plus you’ll see Amtrak and Metra run throughs and the SOO’s connecting roads of: CP Rail, BN, TC&W, RRV&W, WC, CN, C&NW, and the DM&E.

  1. Dan

A nice snapshot of what was once a fixture on the upper Midwest railroad scene. An impressive variety of locomotive and train types over the entire Soo Line system, starting in Chicago and continuing across Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. Road freights, locals and switching action, with plenty of fallen flags along the way. As always, Plets Express videography is top-notch. This is an entertaining and nostalgic look back at the Soo Line … a “must have” for any railfan’s collection.

Like the clear block videos this was well put together showing a variety of trains. A big fan of Plets Express as his videos are put together nicely. Plets Expres really did their research on these productions. I recommend any Plets Videos if you like informative Narration and good picture quality.
