In this installment of the Cab Ride on the Indiana Railroad Series, the date is April 9th, 2014 & crew is onboard SD9043MAC units 9007 & 9001 from Seante Ave. Yard in Indianapolis to Switz City on Train Symbol SA-HW to Hiawatha Yard at Jasonville. The driver for 9007 is Patrick Fugate.

Locations include Fruitdale at Milepost 36, State Route 135, Big Thunder Creek Bridge, the 2 bridges over North Fork Beanblossom Creek, Dunnaway Creek Bridge, State Route 45, Helmsburg siding, Lick Creek Bridge, the 2 bridges over Beanblossom Creek, Brier Creek Bridge, State Route 45 for the second time, Trevlac with Beanblossom Creek once again, Plum Creek Bridge, & Lemon Lake with Shuffle Creek Viaduct near Ernest, plus Unionville Tunnel, State route 45 for the 3rd time, Bloomington with State Route 46, the Indiana University College Campus, Walnut Grove Street, a siding with a work train that has a caboose, the former Baggage depot that is now used as an Asian Restaurant, the spur to Rogers Stone Quarry, Floyd, & 3rd Street, plus over the bridge with the Conjoined Route 37/Interstate 69, Kirby Road, Milepost 62 with the transition from jolted rail to Welded Rail, Garrison Chapel Road, County Road 1390E Bridge, County Road 450N Bridge, State Route 43 Bridge, Solsberry with a small siding, County Road 450 Bridge, County Road 660E Bridge, Richland Creek Viaduct known as the Tulip Trestle, the small town of tulip itself, County Road 200N Bridge, State Route 54 bridge at Hashtown, US Route 231 at Bloomfield with ties alongside the mainline & a small gravel Quarry before going over the White River Bridge at Elliston, State Route 57, & ends part 2 at the Switz City engine shed.

Unfortunately, in the end credits, the cameras batteries on the 4-9-14 footage almost died, so a clip for the arrival in Switz City was photographed somewhere in Autumn of 2013.

very interesting video. Lots of different camera action shows great views of what the crew sees. Nice scenery is seen and even though there are no leaves on the trees, it looks good for rail fanning. The video producers do a fine job with an overhead map to explain where they are going at the beginning of the video. Narration is informative and the narrator has knowledge of the railroad and the area it travels through. Well done.
