Deshler is the crossing of the CSX north-south single track Toledo to Cincinnati line with the east-west double track Chicago line at grade. The tower still stands, but is now used by MoW. All kinds of power, including NS, UP & BNSF, the CSX OCS with F40s and even a couple of locals with cabooses, and several meets. Loads of action!

Deshler is a “must see” location for many railfans, and with this program you’ve got the best seat in the house. CSX is still the star here, but locomotives from several other railroads also make appearances, pulling just about every consist in modern railroading … with the iconic Deshler tower as a backdrop. Great viewing locations, crisp videography and the growl of hardworking trains make this a nice addition to Highball’s “Hot Spots” series.

This is one of the better Hotspots videos. The producer does a fine job showing the trains from all different angles around the railfan park and close to it. Lots of interesting trains including foreign & lease power is seen including a few long hood forward. Also many trains using the interchange tracks.
Narration is limited to the beginning primarily and no screen graphics either which I think is slightly disappointing. Otherwise…. a great video
