Several days of action with a wide variety of paint schemes, coal trains, rack trains, manifests and intermodal together with Amtrak. Minimal narration.
Dan –
Just what you look for in a day of railfanning: a viewing location close to the action, a steady parade of trains, colorful locomotives representing a number of different railroads and an interesting variety of consists. There’s not much narration, but Highball’s top-notch videography and the sound of passing trains give you the feeling of spending a day trackside at Centralia. An enjoyable way to spend two hours.

This was not a great video in my opinion. While there appears to be plenty of train action, with no narration or screen graphics, it is difficult to know how often the trains were running or how close to each other they were running. It would been nice had the time of day each train was seen been posted on the screen to give an idea of the frequency of the trains. Other than that…… the companies serving Centralia is well represented with a fine variety of the different trains and motive power. Give it 20 minutes and turn it off.

This is a great DVD, and Centrailia is a great place to railfan and this will give you sonme locations to try if your ever in the area.
