See freight and yard action and vintage EMD Locomotives work the industries and paper mills of eastern Wisconsin. See 16 different models of locomotives in action, including units from EMD, ALCO and GE. You’ll also see a brief look at the connecting railroads of C&NW, WC, GB&W, and the E&LS. The Fox River Valley operated over the former Lake Shore Division of the C&NW.
The FRV eventually disappeared into the Wisconsin Central and is now a part of Canadian National. Each Plets Express DVD comes with a map and additional information to make it easy and enjoyable to follow along with the program.

A railroad not shot by many on video, Bradley Plets comes in clutch! I was hoping for a little more mainline, at speed runbys but I also don’t know if that could have been done on their actual trackage. A neat look at this short lived railroad.

A fine look at a little railroad that went out day after day and got the job done! The regional Fox River Valley worked some of the most scenic countryside in eastern Wisconsin with an eclectic roster of classic locomotives. Several Midwest fallen flags also make appearances, providing some nice “remember when” moments. The whole program has a relaxed feel to it … no high-speed Z-trains here! Another winner from Plets Express.
