The Jersey Central was an anthracite coal hauling railroad which extended from Jersey City to Scranton Pennsylvania. Known for its “Lady Liberty” herald and unique paint schemes, the Jersey Central was a favorite among railfans.

In Volume 1 of Along the Jersey Central, we’ll look at steam and first generation diesel operations from Jersey to Jim Thorpe, between the late 1940’s to the early 1960’s. We begin with a steam farewell fan trip in Jersey and then proceed west to Phillipsburg, NJ and into Pennsylvania.

In Pennsylvania, passenger and freight operations at Bethlehem Station, Bethlehem Engine Terminal, Allentown Yard, the Allentown Terminal Railroad and more are featured.

    If you are from Jersey you will enjoy this Dvd. All local rail lines are featured and all back memories if your from that area. The Liberty Lady is so amazing to see with its unique paint scheme. It also looks at first generation diesels from the late 40’s to the early 60’s. A great Dvd for all rail fans.

    For anyone who has grown up in New Jersey or spent any amount of time thrwere observing the local rail systems this video will bring back some truly amazing memories. All rail fans from New Jersey or elsewhere should own a copy of this production.
